Purpose-built dog breeding kennel for whelping puppies.

A whelping kennel block, or dog whelping shed, is a purpose-built structure to house whelping pups and their mum.  We provide an anti-bacterial, insulated shell with a stable door and opening window.  All you need to do is add your own whelping boxes, dog beds and heaters. The inside of the kennel is lined with white PVC sheets providing a wipe-clean surface.  We also add phenolic coated flooring which is hard-wearing and wipe clean – perfect for puppy mishaps and accidents!  A stable door means that you can keep the room ventilated while keeping your dogs inside.  To increase safety, we do a 1/3 top opener which means the lower half of the door is taller.  Thus preventing any wilful escape artists from jumping out. The walls and floor of the dog whelping kennel are insulated with 40mm polystyrene.  Therefore, your dog kennels will retain heat in cold weather, but also stay cool in the warmer summer months.  The insulation can also keep your heating costs low – heat is retained meaning you won’t need to keep heaters on as high or for as long.

WHY BUY FROM US?

We make our dog kennels and runs, garden buildings and bespoke animal housing from high quality, A Grade Scandinavian Redwood.  The timber is pressure treated with TanalithE giving up to 10 years of protection against insect attack, rot and decay.  We use ex50mm x ex50mm framework (45mm finished) and 16.5mm x ex125mm (12mm thick finished) tongue and groove shiplap cladding on walls, floors and ceilings to create you a sturdy structure that will last.  Our interlocking boards have a 10mm rebate to allow expansion and movement – more substantial than the majority of our competitors.  The timber clad floor is on ex50mm bearers, which allows ventilation underneath.  All products come with a polyester based, heavy-duty felt roof.  The felt has a clever backing that will seal itself down once warmed in the sun.
