We recently manufactured and installed this bespoke double aviary, designed around our customer’s own ideas and loosely based on our popular Leighton Aviary.
Our customer came to us with a design for an aviary that would give her two separate flights while allowing easy and secure access to both.
Two Flights with a Central Security Entrance
The finished aviary features two separate flights positioned either side of a central security entrance.
From the security entrance, individual doors provide access into each flight, allowing either side of the aviary to be entered separately.
Perspex windows were also incorporated into the central entrance, giving a clear view into both flights without needing to enter the aviaries.
Wipe-Clean Flooring Throughout
Our customer chose to have the aviary installed onto a raft base, allowing us to provide wipe-clean flooring throughout the entire structure.
As well as creating a neat finished base for the aviary, the wipe-clean surface makes day-to-day cleaning and maintenance much easier.
Designed Around the Garden
One of our favourite details about this project is its positioning.
Rather than installing the aviary square to the surrounding area, our customer asked for it to be positioned at an angle. This was carefully planned so that when she sits at her outdoor table, she has a great view into both aviaries.
It’s a lovely example of how a bespoke build can be designed not only around the animals or birds that will use it, but also around the garden and the way the owner wants to enjoy the space.
